Injuries aplenty

Just got to reblog something from Chief of the Least (also known as Bryan Daniels).  I’ve copied this photo of his young sons above  – he writes a lot about them.  He is funny, and his writing is entertaining: also, he has a heart for the things of God.  While this post is about how it’s worth it in spite of physical pain (a herniated disc) in this more recent one he writes about how we need to be in training.  Finally, he also writes wonderfully about child-wrestling here.  We need to run to obtain the prize, as it says in 1 Cor 9:24:

You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win.  All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.

About stayingfaithful

I am looking for anything that relates to life and to a fuller life. I am bored by the normal and the natural and interested in the supernatural. There must be more than this. We were put on this earth for more than a nine to five prison, as someone said a few years ago.
